Overview
CAVIS (Carbon AI Vision System) is a modular machine vision system that inspects the surface quality of carbon fiber panels in real time during wind turbine manufacturing.
By scanning both sides of the panels simultaneously, the system detects surface defects instantly and provides quality assurance without stopping the production line. It serves as a critical quality gate, particularly in the production of long, structurally complex turbine blades.
CAVIS inspects surface quality and CAMOT inspects thickness; together, they perform real-time, double-sided quality inspection of carbon fiber composite materials.
