Overview
CAMOT (Carbon AI Measurement of Thickness) is a system that measures the thickness of carbon fiber panels in wind turbine manufacturing using a combination of laser technology and AI, and performs instant anomaly detection.
Thanks to its double-sided measurement capability, the system reports deviations in panel thickness in real time. By preventing out-of-tolerance output from moving on to later production stages, it minimizes both scrap rates and rework costs.
CAMOT inspects thickness and CAVIS inspects surface quality; together, they perform real-time, double-sided quality inspection of carbon fiber composite materials.
How It Works
- 1
Laser + AI Measurement
The thickness of the carbon fiber panels is measured using a combination of laser technology and AI.
- 2
Instant Anomaly Detection
Thanks to double-sided measurement, thickness deviations are reported in real time.
- 3
Stops Out-of-Tolerance Panels
The system prevents out-of-tolerance panels from moving on to subsequent production stages.
